What area does the station serve? |
This affects you, your family, your home, your business and your community if you live in the following areas: Moira, Blackfordby, Donisthorpe, Acresford, Oakthorpe, Measham, Appleby Magna, Applyby Parva, Stretton en le Field, Chilcote, Albert Village, Part of the M42. The station also provides back up support for: Ashby, Swadlincote, Twycross, Orton on the Hill and further a field if the need arises. | |

What does the station do? |
Well apart from save lives and put out fires, the fire fighters who work at Moira Fire Station carry out other community work to spread the word of fire safety. They carry out Home Fire Safety Checks, School Visits, Displays and talks at events, fetes, open days and much more. The Fire Service are offering free home fire safety visits to vulnerable people in our Be Safe and Sound campaign. For information on fire safety in your home Contact Leicestershire Fire and Rescue during normal office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. | |
